Day 21

Swim meet yesterday so up at 5am to do my BD matrix - really notice a difference in the legovers depending on what time of day I do them - early morning having less flexibility.
Had some almond toast and a boiled egg for breakfast and packed lettuce rolls, cucumber, celery, red onion, boiled eggs and tuna for lunch and some almonds and sunflower seeds for snacks. Felt very shiny halo as I declined all of the food for the volunteers (the fruit and high carb veggies were VERY tempting and I had many many moments of 'really, should I be eliminating whole food groups that include delicious fresh fruit and vegetables?'). The cookies, brownies, croissant sandwiches and granola bars offered no temptation so was pleased with that. Have to also confess to a little jealousy towards those who were regulars at the food table but had great figures!!
Out for supper and so had salmon with steamed green beans and broccoli (I left the potatoes and red pepper) and green salad - have to say that although I live in North America where it is incredibly easy to have a VERY poor diet, eating out and remaining ED friendly is not difficult, we went to a modest kid friendly place and I had numerous choices.
Anyway, left the house at 6am and got home at 8.45pm exhausted so only 1 round of exercise yesterday - am OK with that, took my supps and went to bed at 9.15.
Weighed and measured today - only 1lb and 1" (as I have added and inch to my bust - blah) but progress all the same. Looking forward to the fast tomorrow - find that sooooo much easier than low carb!!
Going to enjoy the exercises today and psyche myself up for the BWW tomorrow - good luck everyone!!!

Day 18 - I think, i'm losing track, or my mind, or both!!

It is only 4.30 and I have done my exercises for the day - bonus!! Well, the three set out - cardio and I are taking a break at the moment!!

Doing the wave, my first of this challenge, and all ok but Borrrring - my fault, I am being unimaginative.

Break was chicken and almonds
Lunch a fab mushroom and onion omelette
Supper - hmmmm, not sure what it will be, maybe salmon, maybe chicken - either way with a leek, onion, courgette, celery mix cooked in butter.

Snacked on almonds (not toooo many) and celery

See, boring, but only two and a bit more days to go - hope my thigh fat had read the article about the wave and fat loss!!!!!

Off to drop off daughter 2 at swimming and daughter 1 at soccer, enjoy the rest of the day everyone

Day 17 - obviously missed a few!

So here we are day 17........have been good since my last post, apart from last night when I finished my daughters ice cream sundae and also had some liquorice allsorts............not sure why, but 'tis done and I need to move on. I will avoid the scales for a few days to dodge the downward spiral of 'I've blown it now' if I see the effect of my misdemeanor.

Exercise is going well and I am feeling much better, stronger, leaner. Not managing all of my workouts, but am happy with my progress non the less. Big push now to the finish - am going to Kelowna the weekend after the challenge finishes so would be good if I could maybe wear a bikini in public!!

Have no water at home (burst water main - the city have isolated our supply to protect our basements from flooding), so am having to drink water form a plastic container - maybe I can blame that for my dietary weakness?? My eldesty daughter was outraged that the workmen were pumping water into the drain - love my little eco-warrior.

Just off to do my power circuit (missed from last night), great way to start the day. Will check in later to ket you know how good I have been today!!

Day 12 - a tough one!

Have been craving today - not sure why, but as a result have probably overdone the nuts and dried fruit....ah well, better than chocolate!!

Exercise was easier today - still a little sore but managing to function much better and range of mtion is improving!!

Food was good (apart form the extra nuts etc). went to a party this evening - do-nuts, white chocolate covered grapes, dark chocolate covered strawberries, chocolate and walnut covered bananas - just some of the things i resisted!! ate some salmon, shrimp, quinoa salad and a chick pea salad all good - also had some tandoori chicken - bit suspicious that it was not clean as i am quite bloated now.............

off to watch my daughters soccer tournament in the morning - will try to update, but may struggle until Sunday.

Enjoy the weekend everyone...

Day 11 - Hot hot hot!

Another scorchio day in Calgary!!!

Started of with ICP - not entirely sure why, it's the heat, it confuses little me!!!
Did Power Circuit at lunchtime and then pyramid this evening.

Food good, not too much of it as (have I mentioned?) it is sooo hot.
Almond toast with hazelnut butter for brek, berries and yogurt for lunch, chicken, shrimp and stir fry veg for supper. oh, and of course, some almonds and a few cherries, dried mango (an addiction, can't help it!)

Was still incredibly sore - one of my friends has commented that I am walking like a lady due to give birth!!
Reduced my dumbellss in both workouts today and am not overly sure how many press ups or squats were at the required depth!!! But 'tis done and hopefully the extra water today will help flush away the DOMS.......

Would quite like to go to the parade tomorrow and see Will and Kate - but, as they are opening the parade from a building very close to my 'usual' spot (which my husband has to normally leave at 6am to secure), I am thinking it will be too too busy and far too early for my girls..........ah well, will watch on TV.......

a dear, day 10 already!

ok, so I am useless at blogging - today will be the start of the new 'blogging daily' me!!

so, in the last 8 days..............
food has been good all ED friendly except - Triathlon day (Friday) - had a power bar and some cytomax in my water bottle - Sunday - did a 50 mile bike ride so another power bar and another bottle of cytomax.....would really welcome some advice about this - how can I refuel on the bike and be ED compliant???
did manage four days of camping without any camping naughties though!!!
exercise has been not so good in that I have not followed the program recommended by Dax - I know if works, but I also know it hurts at first, so delayed until after my triathlon..... which turned into after I got back home.
So Tuesday and today have been my first days of following the exercise program - and I am suitably sore!!! In fact typing is probably the only think that doesn't hurt!!! Will only be for a couple of days and all will be good - I do enjoy the routines too, only 20 minutes max but sooooooo effective.
Have lost 4lbs so far - but only 1 inch :( Getting going on the exercise program will help I know!!
Oh also, not waving yet - bought a whole load of delicious fruit on Monday, so will start waving next Sunday - promise!!

Off for a quick swim to cool down (30degrees here today) and hopefully stretch a little.....

Catch up tomorrow!!
